Submission to MDOT regarding our request to lift certain hazardous material restrictions
On September 28, 2020, the Ambassador Bridge requested that MDOT lift restrictions on Class 3 and Class 8 hazardous materials. The request was set forth in a seven page letter and included 147 pages of supporting exhibits. The request addresses issues like the Ambassador Bridge’s historical and current work with hazardous materials, the fire suppression system on the Ambassador Bridge, and the net safety benefit to the community that would arise by lifting the restrictions.
