CLASS 3 and CLASS 8 PROCEDURE ( Starting 10-29-2024 )
- If you are placarded as a CLASS 3 and CLASS 8, You must call a minimum 24 hours before you are planning to cross. The number is (313)989-0136 and press option 2 (If you schedule less than 24 hours, you may have to wait for the proper bridge configuration)
- On the day of arrival, please park at the Duty-Free Store Parking area and call the Ambassador Bridge Escort Team at (313) 989-0136 and press option 2 to notify the Bridge Escort Team you are on site.
** When proceeding across the Ambassador Bridge, it is the driver’s responsibility to ensure all FHSA/DOT Rules and Regulations are followed including but not limited to:
- Use four-way flashers.
- Travel at a uniform speed of not more than 20 mph – 30 km/h.
- No passing, tailgating, or speeding on the bridge (loaded or unloaded).
